Description

The Mutiny + Salesloft Integration helps account teams identify prospects and track website activity. The integration adds a custom tracking parameter to links included in emails that are sent through Salesloft which allows Mutiny to identify prospects that click through. After identifying your prospects, Mutiny will track all of their future website activity and alert you when they are on your site.

How It Works

The Mutiny + Salesloft Integration connects to your Salesloft instance to provide link tracking functionality for Salesloft emails and basic data ingestion to power website personalization with first party data. The link tracker works by appending a unique token to any URL in an email body sent through Salesloft. Salesloft issues a webhook request with a payload that contains all of the links included in an email body. Mutiny will process this request and append an mtl=<unique token> query parameter to the provided links. When the email recipient clicks through one of the tracked links, the Mutiny client will parse the mtl=<unique token> query parameter in order to identify the website visitor as the email recipient.

Step 1: Activate your integration with Salesloft
  • Select Integrations from the left side pane and click on Salesloft.
  • Note: To integrate Salesloft you must be logged into both Mutiny and Salesloft in your browser!

Step 2: Install the Mutiny Salesloft Extension
  • Login to Salesloft and authorize.

Step 3: Confirm successful installation within Mutiny
  • Select Integrations from the left side pane and search for Salesloft. Make sure the “Track website activity for your Salesloft People” setting is toggled ON.

Step 4: Get a slack notification whenever an email recipient clicks through and lands on the site
  • Select Integrations from the left side pane and click on Slack.

FAQ

With our Salesloft integration, Mutiny automatically adds a token (similar to a UTM parameter) to your existing URL so that we can track when links are clicked and identify the contact who clicked the link. Because we are not changing the URL, using redirects, or inserting a tracking pixel, we are able to identify and track contacts without impacting deliverability the same way that traditional open/click tracking can.
With contact level identification of the visitors on your website, your sales team can gain a more holistic view of the contacts interests and use cases from the engagement tracked within Mutiny. After installing Mutiny's web extension, your sales team can benefit from timely notifications of prospects website engagement in the convenient form factor of a browser extension.
